YOGA SEMINARS

Every Monday and Wednesday from 18-09-2019 to 18-12-2019

The course of the morning will start from WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 18th and will take place from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
The afternoon course will start on MONDAY the 23rd of SEPTEMBER and will take place from 6.15 pm to 8 pm. This time will remain unchanged on Mondays when there are no other initiatives. The timetable becomes from 6.15 pm to 7.30 pm on Mondays when at 8 pm starts another course. The seminars are addressed to all Members and it is always possible to take a free trial lesson.

Alberta Biressi has been practicing yoga since 1979 and follows the teachings of Boris Tatzky on energy yoga since 1985. She has been teaching at the A.Me.Co for several years, as well as at the Yoga center of Casal Palocco and, at the training school for the Teaching of Yoga in Milan.

CHOIR SEMINAR

on THURSDAY the 3rd, 17th and 31st of OCTOBER, 14th and 28th of NOVEMBER, 5th and 19th of DECEMBER from 8 pm to 10 pm. The seminar is open to Members who wish to be part of the Choir of A.Me.Co., that is, a choir composed of yogins who love to sing together cultivating friendship with the Sangha. During the party of the end of the year, which will take place on Thursday, December 19th,

Claudia Marss teaches jazz singing and choral singing as well as being the director and arranger for the Saint Louis College of Music’s Brasilian Music choir, and a teacher of modern singing and the Gospel Choir director for the “Officine Musicali del Borgo”. She holds seminars on different brasilian musical genres, gospel and spiritual music: focusing on vocalism, style, performance and sense of rhythm. She studied singing with Cinzia Spata, Annette Marywether, Margherita Pace, and arranging with Franco Piana. She took part in the most influential Jazz Festival in Italy, as a Brasilian Jazz solist singer. She has been performing in theaters and shows all around Italy as a gospel singer since 1996, collaborating with various groups. In october 2004 she was chosen by Nicola Piovani to be the soloist in “Stabat Mater – La Pietà”, music by Nicola Piovani, alongside Gigi Proietti, Rita Cammarano, and the Aracoeli Orchestra, staged in Bethlem and Tel Aviv.

SEMINARS OF QI GONG AND TAI CHI CHUAN

Debora Drigani studied Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong in 1991 with master Adalberto Maviglia (a disciple of Mantak Chia). In 2007 she started practicing under the guidance of masters Flavio Daniele and Guo Ming (George) Xu, with whom she subsequently studied to become Yang style instructor in 2011. She took part in the WACIMA (World Academy of Martial Arts) international campus in Lang Fang (Beijing) in 2010. During the Wacima campus, and thanks to her participation in Nei Dan stages and seminars, she increased her knowledge on Yang style Tai Chi with masters Liu Bo Xue and Wang Lian Fu. She also studied Qi Gong with master Roberto Capponi and Etsuko Kakui. She attended the TAO GED (Global Energetic Development) course for two years, led by master Flavio Daniele. She is currently a senior teacher, and one of Rome’s Nei Dan School representatives.

entitled: Reading and commenting on the first speech of the Buddha: the Dhammacakkapavattanasutta (The Speech of the setting in motion of the wheel of the Dhamma). On MONDAY 11, 18, 25 NOVEMBER and 2 DECEMBER from 20.00 to 22.00. The seminar is aimed exclusively at members who are interested in deepening their knowledge of the Buddhist canonical texts.

Neva Papachristou is a guiding teacher of A.Me.Co. (Insight Meditation Association) that she founded in 1987 together with Corrado Pensa. She has been studying and practicing Dharma since 1984, both with teachers of the Insight Meditation Society (Barre, USA) and the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center (Cambridge, USA) in Europe and the USA. According to the Theravāda tradition, she was nominated Dharma teacher by Larry Rosenberg, guiding teacher of the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center. She is the author of a thesis on Ajahn Sumedho. She is editorial director of SATI, the magazine of the A.Me.Co. She has published for Astrolabio Ubaldini, together with Corrado Pensa, in May 2018: Make Haste Slowly: The Inner Path and the Mindfulness Meditation: a Way to Happiness. And, in February 2019: Give the Heart to what Matters. The Buddha and the Insight Meditation, just published for Arnoldo Mondadori in 2012.

General Information

The intensive and seminars take place in Rome in Vicolo d’Orfeo, 1. The residential retreats, both those organized by A.Me.Co. and those organized by other centers, take place in different locations. The program of the initiatives is also found, in paper form, within SATI, the magazine of the Association for the Meditation of Awareness.

The activities organized by A.Me.Co. are addressed exclusively to the Members.

For the initiatives it is essential to make a reservation, preferably by e-mail to the following address segreteria@associazioneameco.com (send another e-mail if you do not receive a confirmation message). Reservations are accepted from the date indicated for each initiative. You can participate without reservation only in cases where it is expressly specified.
