Sister Khemaka

Sister Khemaka was born in 1956 in Sri Lanka from a Buddhist family. She moved to the United Kingdom in 1982. She studied and worked in the accounting field. In 2006 she went to live in the Theravāda Buddhist monastery of Amaravati, affiliated with the tradition of the Ajahn Chah forest Sangha. She took the eight precepts in 2008 and in 2011 received the ordination of Siladhara
